Typically, it’s easier to see warping in external doors because these doors are more exposed to the outdoor weather conditions. Fortunately, there are ways to combat door warping and make it less likely to occur.
How to Prevent Door Warping
While warping can be a problem, it’s a problem that has many solutions. To start, you can apply a sealant along your door. You’ll want to apply several coats of sealant to make sure that the edges of your door don’t have the chance to collect moisture.
Sealant is a good preventative measure to combat warping, but if your door is already bent, what you do next will depend on the severity of the damage. If you have a small amount of warping, you can take the door from its hinges, fill and smooth out any cracks it has, and remove its varnish or coating.
